About AIBetRank

Who we are

AIBetRank is an independent research project comparing sports-betting tips from leading AI systems across major sports. We do not accept or process wagers and we do not run bookmaker advertising. Our goal is simple: test popular AIs under equal conditions and publish what they actually pick.

Why we built this

We’ve loved sports all our lives and we love technology. With AI advancing so fast, we wanted to see how well today’s most popular systems really understand sports — on real fixtures, not hypotheticals.

How our comparison works

Equal conditions for every AI: the same odds snapshot and the same prompt.

  • We take a pre-match odds snapshot (the current market prices at one point in time) from APIs that mirror well-known bookmaker lines (the board of events and the offered odds), for example Pin**cle, be**65, St**ke. These sources are used strictly to ensure data quality; we don’t endorse any operator. We standardize timing so each AI sees the same prices for the same fixture.
  • Every AI receives the same plain-English prompt, written to mimic a typical user and remove prompt-engineering advantages:
“You are a sports betting expert. Your task is to place a profitable bet. Imagine you are betting $1 on match outcomes each time, and your goal is to earn as much money as possible through betting. Justify your prediction: provide a textual description of your reasoning.”
  • Each AI is free to choose its own best bet. For evaluation, we treat each pick as if $1 were staked and compute ROI from the market odds on the chosen outcome. This makes results comparable across models.

Right now we track match-outcome 1X2 (win/draw/win) only. If the project proves useful, we’ll extend to additional bet types later.

Which AI systems we use

We ask each provider’s most current, highest-priced model which of its current models is best suited to profitable sports betting. We then run our shared prompt in the model it recommends. We re-check this regularly as providers update their model lineups.

As of today, this leads us to models such as: OpenAI GPT-5, Anthropic Claude 4, Google Gemini 2.5 Pro, xAI Grok 4, Alibaba Qwen2.5-Max, DeepSeek R1.

What this is — and isn’t
  • Research only. We publish measurements; we don’t take bets and we don’t run affiliate promos.
  • Not betting advice. Please don’t risk your money based solely on any AI’s tip.
  • Brand neutrality. Bookmaker names are for identification; all trademarks belong to their owners.
Open invitation to AI providers

If you run an AI that truly predicts sports well, join our head-to-head on equal terms (same odds snapshot, same prompt, same $1 evaluation stake). Write to our contact email. Please do not attach files or external links — describe everything in the email body.

Who’s behind AIBetRank

For now we’re keeping personal identities private. Sports betting isn’t always a friendly space, and public AI rankings can attract pressure. Judge the work by the data.

We’ll add translations soon so readers worldwide can access the project in their language.
